Study on aircrew disease spectrum

Abstract：Objective To provide evaluation references of air medical support by studing on aircrew disease spectrum in new era. Methods Analyzed the clinical data of the aircrew who suffered from disease and hospitalized from January 2006 to December 2012, studied the disease spectrum. Results The diseases of the 326 aircrew were different in that period. The top 5 diseases in the spectrum were infection of upper respiratory tract, neurasthenia, nervous headache, cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation. The top 3 on age were 25~29 years old, 30~34 years old, 35~39 years old. Two hundred and fifty cases were qualified for flying and 76 cases were under supervision who stood for final medical evaluation. Conclusion With the study of disease spectrum, we should know the distribution of the disease, age, medical evaluation of aircrew well. It is suggested that the flight surgeons should put more attention to these diseases which from this disease spectrum on the local region.
