Sequential mental health promotion strategies and the evaluation of its effect on occupational population

Abstract:ObjectiveWe aimed to evaluate the effect of sequential mental health promotion and comprehensive mental health intervention at the improvement and promotion of mental health level among occupational population. Method2878 employees were divided into control group and intervention group. The intervention group was given sequential mental health intervention for three months. The research compared mental health status of the two groups before the intervention with after the intervention, and analyzed the effect of the intervention.ResultThe number of population in good mental health and under moderate pressure in intervention group appeared more than those in control group. Compared with control group, the number of population in mental sub health, having mild-to-moderate mental problems, lacking of motivation and under moderate pressure in intervention group was lower in intervention group, and the total scores of SCL-90、SSQ-53 were also lower in intervention group. The mental health status and scale scores of control group showed little difference before and after the intervention.ConclusionSequential mental health promotion and mental health comprehensive intervention can significantly promote mental health status of the occupational population.
