Analysis of active anti-G suit ergonomics implications

Abstract：ObjectiveWe aimed to investigate the ergonomic problems for three kinds of anti-G suits used in our army.MethodsOne hundred and five fighter pilots participated in the subjective assessment of their anti-G suits through 32 ergonomic indices by using questionnaire.ResultsThe ergonomic problems such as inconvenience in suit donning/doffing and regulating, mobility-restriction, poor outlook, thermal burden and poor comfort were present in all the three kinds of anti-G suits, especially in the capstan suit.ConclusionIn-depth research should be carried out in the hope of solving the ergonomic problems of the anti-G suit systematically.
