Abstract:Objective The consistency of the results of serum vancomycin concentration the high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and fluorescence polarization immunoassay (FPIA) were studied. Methods Serum vancomycin concentrations for 30 patients were measured by HPLC and FPIA. Correlation of results were analysised. Results Means for HPLC and standard deviation (SD) were (30.04±14.02)μg/ml. For FPIA,(29.67±13.96)μg/ml.The difference between the two methods’means were (0.37±1.46)μg/ml.The correlation coefficient of the two methods was 0.9905. Conclusion Measured serum vancomycin concentration results were consistent with each other.
