Exploration of the Effect of Combining Orthodontics and Oral Restoration in the Treatment of Congenital Missing Teeth

Abstract：Objective Exploring the clinical efficacy of combining orthodontics and oral restoration in the treatment of congenital missing teeth.Methods 120 cases of congenital tooth loss who visited our hospital from February 2021 to February 2023 were selected and randomly divided into two groups using computer random sampling method,with 60 cases in the observation group and 60 cases in the control group.The control group received routine oral restoration treatment,while the observation group received a combination of orthodontic and oral restoration treatment.The oral comfort,aesthetic satisfaction,bite force,chewing function,anxiety situation,treatment effect,adverse reactions,language function,and orthodontic comfort were compared between the two groups.Results The satisfaction scores of oral restoration comfort and aesthetics in the observation group before and after treatment were significantly higher than the control group(P＜0.05);observation group showed significantly better oral comfort,bite force,and chewing function recovery compared to the control group,with a higher total effective rate(P＜0.05);the anxiety level of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group(P＜0.05);after treatment,the speech function scores of the observation group and the control group were higher than before treatment,and the observation group was higher than the control group(P＜0.05);the comfort level of orthodontic treatment correction comfort of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Timely orthodontic and oral restoration combined treatment for congenital edentulism can effectively improve the clinical oral restoration effect,reduce adverse reaction after restoration,improve the patient's aesthetic degree and comfort,improve the patient's bite force,chewing function and language function recovery effect,and reduce the impact of oral diseases on the patient's quality of life.
