Abstract:Objective The expression levels of microtubule-associated protein 2(MAP2)and β-tubulin at both the protein and mRNA levels in non-small cell lung cancer tissues and their adjacent tissues. Methods In this study, immunohistochemical techniques were employed to systematically examine the expression levels of MAP2 and β-tubulin in 252 non-small cell lung cancer tissue specimens and 68 corresponding adjacent tissue specimens.Real-time PCR was used to detect the mRNA levels of MAP2 and β-tubulin in 32 non-small cell lung cancer tissues and 32 adjacent tissues. Results The results of immunohistochemical detection showed that the positive expression rates of MAP2 and β-tubulin in the non-small cell lung cancer group were significantly higher than those in the adjacent tissue group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).The results of Real Time PCR indicated that the mRNA levels of MAP2 and β-tubulin in the non-small cell lung cancer group were higher than those in the adjacent tissue group, and the difference between the two was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The expression levels of MAP2 and β-tubulin in non-small cell lung cancer tissues were significantly higher than those in adjacent tissues. This suggests that both MAP2 and β-tubulin are specifically present in lung tumor tissues. These expression differences provide meaningful indicators for the molecular diagnosis of non-small cell lung cancer and may potentially serve as new targets for anti-tumor treatment.
