Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of five-element music therapy combined with recombinant human erythropoietin(rhEPO)in promoting the neurobehavioral development of premature infants. Methods A total of 161 premature infants admitted to Zhengzhou People's Hospital from May 2021 to June 2023 were taken as the research subjects of this study.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into the music therapy+rhEPO group with 40 cases, the music therapy+non-rhEPO group with 39 cases, the rhEPO+non-music therapy group with 40 cases, and the non-music therapy+non-rhEPO group with 42 cases. The changes in height, body weight, head circumference, neonatal behavioral neurological assessment(NBNA)score,Gesell development scale(CDCC)score, and abnormal rate of brainstem evoked potential(ABR)of the four groups of premature infants were observed and compared. Results Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in height, body weight, head circumference and NBNA score among the four groups of premature infants(P>0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, the height, body weight and head circumference of the four groups of premature infants all increased compared with those before treatment. From high to low, they were the music therapy+rhEPO group,rhEPO+non-music therapy group, music therapy+non-rhEPO group, and non-music therapy+non-rhEPO group in sequence(P<0.05);after correcting for full-term gestational age,the NBNA scores of the four groups of preterm infants were all increased compared with those before treatment. From high to low, they were music therapy+rhEPO group,rhEPO+non-music therapy group, music therapy+non-rhEPO group, and non-music therapy+non-rhEPO group(P<0.05);at the first and third months after birth, there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of abnormal ABR among the four groups of preterm infants(P>0.05).Within three months after birth, the total incidence of abnormal ABR in the music therapy+rhEPO group was lower than that in the other three groups(P<0.05).At the 6th and 12th months after treatment, the CDCC scores from high to low were the music therapy+rhEPO group,rhEPO+non-music therapy group, music therapy+non-rhEPO group, and non-music therapy+non-rhEPO group(P<0.05).Conclusion The five-element music therapy combined with rhEPO treatment can promote the physical and neurobehavioral development of premature infants and reduce the risk of abnormal ABR,which has application value.
