Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlation between triglyceride glucose(TyG)index and diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Methods A total of 357 patients with T2DM hospitalized in Endocrinology Department of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Jinzhou Medical University from March 2023 to September 2023 were collected and divided into NDPD and DPN groups. Results Compared with NDPN group,The course of disease,TyG index,FPG,HbA1c,TG,TC and LDL-C increased gradually from NDPN to DPN groups(P<0.05).HDL-C and FC-P decrease gradually from NDPN to DPN groups(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that TyG index was positively correlated with the course of TC,HbA1c and LDL-C(P<0.05),and negatively correlated with age and HDL-C.Logistic regression analysis showed that TyG index was the influencing factor of DPN.Conclusion TyG index is closely related to the risk of neurological disease in T2DM patients, and can be used as a simple index to assess diabetic neurological complications.
