Abstract:Objective To analyze the situation of food intolerance in the population of western Liaoning Province, and provide data support and theoretical basis for the scientific matching of diet and the study of clinically related diseases for food intolerant individuals. Methods The test results of 14 animal and plant derived food intolerance specific IgG antibodies in 10,441 individuals from the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinzhou Medical University from 2020 to 2023 were analyzed.Groups were compared according to sex and age and statistical analysis was carried out. Results The total positive rate of IgG antibody intolerance in 14 types of food was 64.98%.Among them, the positive rates of animal derived foods from high to low were 44.17%in egg white/egg yolk,24.62%in milk,12.55%in shrimp,10.28%in codfish,7.01%in chicken,5.86%in crab,5.31%in pork, and 1.08%in beef, and the differences in chicken, pork, shrimp, crab, egg white/egg yolk and milk between men and women were statistically significant(P<0.01).The positive rates of plant-derived foods, from high to low, were 11.34%in tomato,10.69%in wheat,10.53%in soybean,9.91%in rice,4.40%in com,and 2.68%in mushroom. The differences in com, wheat, and tomatoes between males and females were statistically significant(P<0.01).The comparison of intolerance rates to animal and plant derived foods showed statistically significant differences among the 4 age groups(P<0.01).The proportion of food intolerance of more than three animal and plant sources was relatively low,and there were significant differences between different sexes(P<0.05),the proportion of food intolerance of more than three animal sources in the pediatric group was significantly different from that of the youth group and the young adult group(P<0.01),and the proportion of food intolerance of more than three plant sources in the pediatric group was significantly different from that between the young adult group and the elderly group(P<0.01).Conclusion There are some differences in food intolerance among people of different genders and ages, and adjusting dietary rules is still a key method to prevent food intolerance.
