Clinical Efficacy and Safety Analysis of Vederizumab Combined with Compound Lactobacillus Acidophilus in the Treatment of Ulcerative Colitis

Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of vedolizumab combined with probiotics in the treatment of ulcerative colitis(UC).Methods A total of 125 UC patients hospitalized in our hospital from January 2020 to December 2023 were enrolled and divided into a control group(n=64,treated with vedolizumab alone)and a treatment group(n=61,treated with vedolizumab combined with probiotics).Results The overall therapeutic efficacy in the treatment group was significantly better than that in the control group(P＜0.05).The treatment group exhibited shorter times for normalization of inflammatory markers and alleviation of clinical symptoms(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of side effects between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Vedolizumab combined with probiotics demonstrates significant therapeutic efficacy in treating UC,effectively attenuating inflammation,enhancing clinical response rates,and ensuring higher safety.
