Abstract:Objective To investigate the transdermal properties of compound Chansu patch,a new Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)analgesic patch, providing evidence for its clinical application. Methods In vitro transdermal experiment was carried out using vertical Franz diffusion cell method with compound Chansu paste as control.Camphor is used as the index for transdermal performance assessment, and naphthalene is the internal standard, the transdermal properties of compound Chansu paste were evaluated by GC-MS technique. In particular, the cumulative penetration of camphor, intradermal retention and residue of preparation were measured at each time point. Results Compared with compound Chansu paste, the cumulative penetration of camphor in compound Chansu paste at each time point was significantly increased.Especially at 12 hours, the cumulative penetration of compound Chansu paste was about 2.25 times that of compound Chansu paste At the same time, the average intradermal retention of compound Chansu paste was about 66.40%,and the average residual rate was about 44.80%,both of which were lower than compound Chansu paste. Conclusion Compound Chansu paste has better transdermal properties, the drug is released quickly and steadily from the patch, the amount of dermal retention is small, and the residual amount in the preparation is low, which can lay a foundation for compound Chansu paste to play a good analgesic effect. This research method provides effective technical support for the innovation and optimization of TCM external preparations, and is of great significance for the transformation and application of TCM preparations.
