Comparison of the Effect of Oseltamivir and Peramivir in the Treatment of Influenza and Febrile Convulsion in Children

Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical effect of oseltamivir and peramivir in children with influenza and febrile convulsion.Methods A total of 70 children with influenza and febrile convulsion diagnosed in the fever clinic of Anyang City People's Hospital from February 2020 to February 2024 were divided into 2 groups(observation group and control group)by simple randomization method,with 35 cases in each group.The control group was given oseltamivir orally,and the observation group was given peramivir injection.The clinical efficacy,symptom remission time,and the changes of inflammatory factors and immunoglobulin levels after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results The treatment effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(97.12%>82.86%)(P<0.05);the defervescence,cough relief,reduction of phlegm,sore throat,and headache relief time in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);after treatment,the levels of serum amyloid A(SAA),procalcitonin(PCT),and interleukin 6(IL-6)in both groups decreased,and the observation group was lower than the control group(P<0.05);after treatment,the levels of immunoglobulin A(IgA),immunoglobulin M(IgM),and immunoglobulin G(IgG)in both groups increased,and the observation group was higher than the control group(P<0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in adverse reactions(11.43%vs 20.00%)(P>0.05).Conclusion For the treatment of influenza with febrile convulsion,the clinical efficacy and symptom relief time of peramivir are better than those of the control group,and it also has a better regulatory effect on inflammatory factors and immunoglobulins.
