Study on the Treatment of Schizophrenia with Fit for Life Social Skills Training Combined with CBT

Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of fit for life social skills training combined with cognitive behavioral therapy(CBT)on schizophrenia.Methods A total of 86 patients with schizophrenia were randomly divided into control group and observation group,with 43 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional diagnosis and treatment mode,and the observation group was treated with fit for life social skills training combined with CBT on the basis of the control group.The study compared the changes in social function,psychiatric symptoms,rehabilitation effect and quality of life between the two groups of patients before treatment and after 6 months of treatment.The social function was assessed using the scale of social function in psychosis in patients(SSPI),the psychiatric symptoms were assessed using the positive and negative syndrome scale(PANSS),the rehabilitation efficacy was assessed using the inpatient psychiatric rehabilitation efficacy rating scale(IPROS),and the quality of life was assessed using the World Health Organization Quality of Life Questionnaire for HIV Brief Version(WHOQOL-BPRS).Results After 6 months of treatment,the scores of three dimensions in the SSPI scale of the two groups including daily living ability,mobility,communication,and social activity skills were significantly improved compared to those before treatment(P<0.05).The positive symptoms,negative symptoms,general pathological symptoms and total scores of PANNS scale of the two groups were significantly decreased compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).The IPROS scores in the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),and the total scores of WHOQOL-BPRS in the two groups were significantly higher than those before treatment(P<0.05).The improvement effect of the above scales in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Fit for life social skills training combined with CBT has a clear effect on the treatment of schizophrenia patients,which can significantly improve the social function and mental symptoms of patients,can improve the rehabilitation effect and quality of life.
