Research Progress on Capillary Leak Syndrome and Related Diseases

Abstract：Capillary leak syndrome(CLS)is a potentially fatal multi-system disease.It usually presents with severe systemic e-dema,hypotension,and hypoalbuminemia,eventually leading to multiple organ failure.CLS is mainly caused by infections,inflam-matory diseases,malignant tumors,drugs,etc.,and its idiopathic form is named"Clarkson disease".The pathophysiology of CLS involves severe,transient,and multifactorial endothelial injury,the specific mechanism of which is still unknown.Since the litera-ture on CLS is relatively scattered,this paper aims to collect and summarize the current research on CLS,so as to facilitate the diag-nosis,understanding and management of capillary leakage syndrome.
