The Application of Multi-slice Spira CT to Diagnose Carotid Artery Stenosis

Abstract：Objective To discuss the diagnostic value of using Multi-slice Computed Tomography angiography(CAT) to diagnose the degree of carotid artery stenosis of ischemic cerebrovascular patients.Methods By collecting 366 cases of first-time cerebral infarction which were examined by DSA and CTA.Then the consistency of DSA and CTA were compared to diagnose the degree and location of carotid artery stenosis.Results The results of DSA and CTA for the degree of carotid artery stenosis showed no statistically difference(P>0.05),mild stenosis of the 2 groups(DSA group and the CTA group) compared,the results showed statistically significant difference(P<0.05),moderate stenosis and severe stenosis of the 2 groups compared,there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).169 out of the 366 patients were detected to have plaques,97 type Ⅰ plaques,42 type Ⅱ plaques,22 type Ⅲ plaques.Conclusion As an examination method,CTA could evaluate carotid artery stenosis and detect the character of plaques.
