Abstract:Objective To study the efficacy of azithromycin combined with simvastatin in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) complicated with pulmonary hypertension. Methods From January 2014 to July 2016,79 patients with COPD complicated with pulmonary hypertension treated in our hospital were selected, and divided into two groups by random number table. In the control group,39 cases were given azithromycin, while in the observation group,40 cases were given azithromycin combined with simvastatin. The clinical curative effect and adverse drug reactions between the two groups were compared. Results Before treatment, forced vital capacity (FVC),forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1),total cholestrol (TC),triacylglycerol (TG) of the two groups were compared, with no statistically significant differences (P>0.05).After treatment,FVC,FEV1,TC,TG of observation group were significantly better than those before treatment, and FVC,FEV1,TC,TG of observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the rate of adverse drug reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Azithromycin combined with simvastatin in the treatment of COPD complicated with pulmonary hypertension is effective, which is safe and reliable and worthy to be spread in clinical application.
