Abstract:Objective To investigate the optimal dose of aspirin in treating elderly patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods A total of 128 elderly patients with acute cerebral infarction admitted into our hospital from July 2013 to July 2016 were selected and analyzed retrospectively.According to the dose of aspirin, the subjects were divided into Group A (n=41),Group B (n=48) and Group C (n=39).100 mg,200 mg and 300 mg of aspirin enteric-coated tablets were given to the three groups respectively along with other same treatment for 14 days as a course. The NIHSS scores of the groups were determined before and after treatment respectively. The curative effect and incidence of adverse reactions were observed. In addition,a six-month follow-up was conducted to further determine the dosage. Results After treatment, the NIHSS scores of the 3 groups decreased. The curative effect of Group B was significantly better than that of Group A,with statistically significant difference (P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions of Group B was lower than that of Group C (P<0.05).Conclusion 200 mg/d of aspirin presents good performance in the efficacy and safety in the treatment of elderly patients with acute cerebral infarction, worth to be recommended for clinical application.
