The Correlation of Expression of MMP-9,25 Hydroxyl VitaminD3 in Serum and Type 2 Diabetes Peripheral Neuropathy

Abstract：Objective To compare the inhibition of genistein and daidzein on ammonia-induced astrocyte swelling.Methods Cell viability was examined with MTT assay,cell swelling with3-O-methyl-[3H]-glucose.Co-immunoprecipitation was used to determine ERK/EGFR interaction.Results Genistein and daidzein at 50 μmol/L had no effect on astrocyte viability.Genistein,but not daidzein,produced significant inhibitory effect on ammonia-induced astrocyte swelling and ERK/EGFR interaction.Conclusion Genistein exhibits a significant inhibitory effect on ammonia-induced astrocyte swelling,which may be related to its specific inhibition on EGFR.
