Abstract:Objective To evaluate the clinical treatment effect of humeral fractures in military hurling training. Methods 36 pa-tients with humeral fracture were treated in our hospital from March 2011 to January 2015. All of the patients were male, military re-cruits, aged 17 to 22, and the average age is 19 years old. Of all the 36 cases, 35 cases were right-handed and 1 case was left-hand-ed, and 8 patients were with different degrees of combined musculospiral nerve injury. The patients were given triangular bandage fixa-tion for 6 weeks after operation, then they performed the joint function exercise. Results All the patients were followed up for 7 to 35 months after operation, with an average of 21 months. All fractures were healed, and the healing time ranged from 8 to 10 weeks. All patients with musculospiral nerve injury recovered to normal after 8 weeks with the shoulder joints and elbow joints restoring to normal range of activities. One year after the operation, all patients were given operations to take out internal fixtures. Conclusion Compres-sion screw combined with common protective steel plate internal fixation is a reliable method for humeral fractures treatment.
