Abstract:Objective To explore the short-term curative effect of PFNA internal fixation in the treatment of the intertrochanteric fractures for elder patients, and to provide clinical treatment options and experience. Method 42 cases of elder patients with intertro-chanteric fracture were selected as research objects and were randomly divided into the observation group (21 cases) and the control group (21 cases). The observation group was given minimally invasive PFNA internal fixation, while the control group was given rou-tine artificial femoral head replacement operation. The indicators of each group during and after the operations were compared, inclu-ding the operation time, incision length, blood loss, length of stay, time for getting out of bed, complications, Harris scores of post-operation hip function after half a year, and the hospitalization costs. Result There was neither significant difference nor statistical significance among the Harris scores of post-operation hip function after 6 months, time for getting out of bed and time for hospital stay between the two groups (P>0. 05). There was the significant statistical difference in the rest indicators of intraoperation and postopera-tion (P<0. 05). Conclusion Two kinds of operations can achieve better results in the short term and the hip function has good stabil-ity. But the minimally invasive PFNA internal fixation still possesses reference and application value for several advantages, such as small amount of blood loss, smaller incision, simplicity of operate etc.
