A Report of 4 Cases of Diagnosis and Treatment of Huge Laryngeal Polyp

Abstract：Objective To explore the key points in diagnosis and treatment of the huge polyp of vocal cord. Methods 4 cases of huge polyp of vocal cord with difficulty in breathing were collected. 3 patients underwent vocal cord polypectomy with suspension la-ryngoscope under general anesthesia, 1 patient underwent vocal cord polypectomy under local anesthesia. Results The surgeries were successful in all 4 patients with no complication. The voice of the patients recovered to normal and the difficulty in breathing was re-lieved. Conclusion preventive tracheotomy and the surgery with suspension laryngoscope under general anesthesia have a positive effect on the treatment of huge polyp of vocal cord with few complications and low risk.
