Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression level of vascular endothelial growth factor in different stages of patients with cerebral hemorrhage. Methods 108 cases of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage were selected as the study group, while 108 healthy people were chosen as the control group. (1) The difference in blood pressure, blood glucose, blood lipid and other data in the study was compared. (2) Comparison was also carried out in the two groups in the level of vascular endothelial growth factor ( VEGF) in the 1, 3, 7, 14 d after admission. Results (1) There was no difference in systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein and low density lipoprotein between the study group and the control group (P>0. 05). (2) The levels of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in the study group in 1, 3 , 7 d and 14 d after admission were statistically higher than those in the control group (P<0. 05). The expression level of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in the study group in 1, 3, 7 d and 14 d after admission increased gradually and it reached a peak value in the seventh day, while it fell to the lowest point in the fourteenth day (P<0. 05). Conclusion The study shows that the expression level of vascular endothelial growth factor significantly increases in patients with acute cerebral hemorrhage, so vascular endothelial growth factor may be involved in the process of vascular repair and regeneration.
