Abstract:Objective To discuss the value of ambulatory blood pressure monitoring in the diagnosis and treatment of hyperten-sion.Methods 94 cases of primary hypertension that were treated in our hospital from October 2013 to October 2014 were selected as the object of this study. They were equally divided into the control group and observation group, each with 47 cases. The control group was treated with casual blood pressure monitoring, and the observation group was under ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. Then the examination results were compared between the two groups. Results The ambulatory blood pressure monitoring value of patients in the observation group within 24h was superior to that of the control group. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).In ad-dition, the ambulatory blood pressure monitoring value of patients in the observation group showed statistical significance between dif-ferent time periods in the day time and at night (P<0.05).Conclusion Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring can be used to monitor primary hypertension with more accuracy. It can provide reference for clinical rational drug use, thus it has high clinical value and is worthy of being promoted in the clinical application.
