The Clinical Research on 3 M Painless Protective Film Combined with Ostomy Bag in Treatment of Fecal Incontinence Associated Dermatitis

Abstract：Objective To explore the effect of the combined use of ostomy bag and 3M painless protective film for the treatment of fecal incontinence associated dermatitis ( IAD) .Methods 50 cases of IAD patients, who were treated in our hospital from Decem-ber 2014 to June 2015, were chosen based on random number method and divided into the control group and the experimental group with 25 patients in each group.Patients in the control group were treated with the traditional methods of skin care, while the experi-mental group was additionally given the 3M painless protective film and ostomy bag.After treatment, dermatitis improvement, healing time and recurrence rates of the two groups were respectively compared.Results The treatment effect of the experimental group was significantly better than that of the control group.Dermatitis healing time of the experimental group was shorter, and dermatitis recur-rence rate of the experimental group was significantly lower.The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion 3M painless protective film combined with ostomy bag in the treatment of IAD proves to be more effective than the traditional methods of skin care, with shorter healing time, lower recurrence rate and more superior clinical effect.
