Effect of Qinjing Ovulation Prescription on the Levels of Sex Hormones in Rats with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Abstract：Objective To observe the effects of Qinjing ovulation prescription on the levels of sex hormones in rats with polycystic ovary syndrome ( PCOS) and investigate its effect and intervention mechanism on rat ovulation.Methods Healthy female SD rats were used as models by subcutaneous injection of dehydroepiandrosterone ( DHEA) , and their serum sex hormone levels before and af-ter injection were observed and compared.Results Qinjing ovulation prescription could greatly bring down the levels of luteinizing hormone ( LH) and testosterone ( T) in rat serum and improve the endocrine function.Compared with clomifene group, when Qin-jing ovulation prescription was used in a high dose, the effect value was of statistical significance ( P<0.05) , and when drawing close to normal value as in the control group, it would be good to promote follicular maturation, growth and ovulation.Conclusion Qinjing ovulation prescription can improve rat endocrine function, regulate the level of sex hormones, and promote follicular growth, develop-ment, and maturity, so as to achieve the purpose of stimulating ovulation.
