The Study on Expression and Clinical Correlation of MDA-7/IL-24 in Colon Cancer Tissue

Abstract：Objective To investigate the expression of MDA-7/IL-24 in colon cancer and its correlation to the clinical patholog-ical features of colon cancer.Methods 23 pairs of colon cancer tissues and their corresponding pericarcinomatous tissues in patients proven by pathology were selected randomly.The expressions of MDA-7/IL-24 in colon cancer tissues and their corresponding peri-carcinomatous tissues were detected by immunohistochemical technique respectively.Results The expression level of MDA-7/IL-24 in colon cancer tissues was lower than that in pericarcinomatous tissues (P>0.05).The clinical correlation analysis indicated that the low expression of MDA-7/IL-24 in colon cancer tissues was not related to the presence of lymph node metastasis ( P>0.05 ) and tumor diameter (P>0.05).Conclusion There was little relation between the low expression of MDA-7/IL-24 and the occurrence and development process of colon cancer.
