Clinical Therapeutic Observation of Atyptical BPPV

Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical value of modified manual reduction on 216 atyptical BPPV patients. Methods A retrospective study was carried out on 216 atyptical BPPV patients who were divided into two groups:116 patients in intervention group were given modified manual reduction, including modified Semont1, modified Semont2 and modified Gufoni; 100 patients in control group were given oral sibilium to observe if there is improvement on dizziness and nystagmus after modified manual reduction. Results Patients who were treated by modified manual reduction had better therapy effect compared with the control group. Difference between the two groups showed statistical significance. Conclusion Modified manual reduction is an effective method to atyptical BP-PV patients.
