Abstract:Objective To explore the diagnostic? effects of spiral CT 3D reconstruction technique in the diagnosis of vegetable foreign bodies in tracheal bronchus. Methods From August 2014 to July 2015, 51 children transferred from E. N. T. department, emergency department, and pediatric department were collected and experienced 3D spiral CT examination by GE Light speed 64 rows of 128 slice spiral CT. Diagnostic results were analyzed. Results The results of spiral CT 3D scan in lung of 51 patients accorded with the results of clinical surgery, which meant diagnostic accuracy rate was 100%. Besides, concomitant pneumonia, emphysema and pulmonary atelectasis were identified. In all 51 cases, vegetable foreign bodies were found and removed successfully. Conclusion Spiral CT 3D reconstruction in lung can intuitively and accurately reflect the changes of lung tissue and foreign body in tracheal bron-chus, and the diagnostic result is accurate. The disadvantage is that the scale of time involved in inspection is relatively long, and sedative is needed in the children who are uncooperative, which results in a higher does of radiation compared with ordinary X-ray ex-amination. Therefore, if patients can be diagnosed by ordinary X-ray, CT scan will not be recommended. If disease can not be con-firmed by ordinary X-ray or CT examination, or when tracheal endoscopy treatment is needed, spiral CT 3D reconstruction in lung will be highly recommended.
