Abstract:Objective To investigate the diagnostic value and clinical application of 64-slice spiral CT with multi-planar recon-structions in breast cancer. Methods Imaging findings of 23 breast cancers proved by surgery and pathology were analyzed retrospec-tively. All cases received 64-slice spiral CT examination. The original data were thin-layeredly reorganized and reconstructed by MPR to analyze the display abilities of the characteristics of lesion between axial CT images and MPR. Results In all the 23 cases of breast cancer after 64-slice CT examination:burr and sublobe in19 cases, thickening of the skin in 8 cases, nipple retraction and duct dila-tation in 4 cases, tumor invasion in back clearance of mammary gland in 5 cases, axillary lymph node enlargement in 12 cases. Con-clusion 64-slice spiral CT with MPR can manifest the morphologic features of breast cancer clearly and provide additional important information of cross section images which is helpful to the diagnosis and preoperative guidance for breast cancer.
