Abstract:Objective To investigate the therapeutic mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine ( Astragalus membranaceus and Salvia miltiorrhiza injection) in the treatment of cervical cancer, and to provide clinical and theoretical basis for the treatment of the disease using traditional Chinese medicine combined with Western medicine. Methods 120 patients with cervical cancer treated in Department of Gynaecology of our hospital from January 2012 to November 2014 were randomly divided into the control group with 55 cases ( who had received conventional treatment according to guidelines) and the observation group with 65 cases ( who had received Astragalus membranaceus combined with Salvia miltiorrhiza injection on the basis of the conventional treatment) . Squamous cellular carcinoma antigen ( SCCA) and CA125 levels of the patients in the two groups before and after treatment were compared. The WHO ef-ficacy evaluation index was used to evaluate the efficacy, chemotherapy toxicity grading measurement was used to compare the degree of chemotherapy toxicity of the patients of the two groups. At the same time, the recurrence rates of the two groups after a year were compared. Results There were statistically significant differences in the squamous cell carcinoma antigen ( SCCA) and CA125 lev-els, in WHO and the recurrence rate after a year, and in chemotherapy toxicity P<0. 05 between the two groups. Conclusion The traditional Chinese medicine with the effect of strengthening and consolidating body resistance has an outstanding efficiency in the treat-ment of cervical cancer, and it is worthy of clinical application.
