Abstract:Objective To probe into the clinical effect of anus preserving operation for patients with low rectal cancer. Methods 94 patients with low rectal cancer were admitted in our hospital from July 2010 to June 2012 were selected as the research object, and these patients were randomly divided into two groups: Patients of the control group were treated with the Miles surgery, while those of the observation group were given anus preserving surgery. Peri-operative conditions, postoperative complications, recurrence rate, survival rate of both group as well as their degree of satisfaction were compared. Results There was no statistical difference in the op-eration time and time of returning to the routine diet between the two groups (P>0. 05), the amount of bleeding, postoperative ex-haust time, hospitalization time of the observation group were significantly shorter than those of the control group ( P<0. 01 ) . The partial recurrence rate of the observation group was 6. 38% which was lower than 10. 64% of the control group ( P>0. 05 ) , in addi-tion, the complication incidence of the observation group was 14. 89% which was lower than 36. 17% of the control group (P<0. 05), 3-year survival rate of the observation group was 91. 49% which was higher than the control group ( 74. 47%, P<0. 05 ) , the total satisfaction rate of observation group was 70. 21% which was higher than the control group (48. 94%, P<0. 05). Conclusion The clinical effect of anus preserving operation for patients with low rectal cancer is obvious. The operation can improve the prognosis of pa-tients and gain high satisfaction, and it is supposed to be widely promoted.
