Abstract:Objective To study the joint detection of serum brain natriuretic peptide and C-reactive protein in diagnosis of acute brain injury. Methods 82 cases with acute brain injury were selected as the observation group, while 82 cases of physical fitness were selected as the control group. Their serum BNP and CRP contents were measured respectively by collecting their blood samples. Results On the first day and the third day in hospital, the serum BNP and CRP contents of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group, and on the third day and the twentieth day in hospital, the serum BNP and CRP contents of the observation group were significantly lower than those of their first day in hospital (P<0. 05), the serum BNP and CRP contents of pa-tients with severe brain injury were significantly higher than those of patients with medium and light brain injury; the serum BNP and CRP contents of patients with medium brain injury were significantly higher than those of patients with light brain injury ( P<0. 05 ) , the serum BNP and CRP contents of the good prognosis group were significantly lower than those of the poor prognosis group ( P<0. 05). Conclusion BNP-CRP joint detection helps to assess the damage degree of patients with acute brain injury, which is of great clinical value in the treatment and prevention.
