Abstract:Objective To study the changes of serum inhibition C and inflammatory factors including C-reaction protein (CRP), interleukin 10 (IL-10) and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) in patients with diabetic nephropathy. Methods The level of serum inhibition C and CRP, IL-10, the TNF-αwere detected in 50 cases of patients with diabetic nephropathy and 40 healthy persons ( control group) . Besides, the cases were divided into two groups according to level of cystatin C (≥1. 5 mg/L or not) . Results Compared with the control group, the levels of inhibiting C, CRP, TNF-αwere significantly elevated, and the level of IL-10 was reduced in diabetic nephropathy group, with statistically significant difference (P<0. 05) . Compared with inhibition C<1. 5 mg/L group , serum CRP and the level of TNF-αalso were increased significantly, and the level of IL-10 was reduced in inhibi-tion C≥1. 5 mg/L group, with statistically significant difference (P<0. 05) . Spearman’s correlation analysis showed that the level of inhibiting C was positively correlated with CRP and TNF-α (r= 0. 562 and 0. 772, P<0. 01), and negatively correlated with IL-10 (r=-0. 625, P<0. 01). Conclusion Serum inhibition C could mediate the development of diabetic nephropathy by affecting the in-flammatory factor level, and the early detection can help judge the progression and prognosis of patients.
