Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effects of low dose L-thyroxin combined with Irbesartan and Hydrochlorothiaz-ide in treating senile severe heart failure. Methods 80 cases with severe heart failure in our hospital from January 2014 to January 2015 were selected and randomly divided into the conventional treatment group and the thyroid group, with 40 cases in each one. The conventional treatment group was given conventional treatment combined with Irbesartan and Hydrochlorothiazide. The thyroid group was given low dose of L-thyroxin based on the conventional treatment. The clinical effects of the two groups were compared. Results Total efficiency of thyroid group (92. 50%) was higher than that in the conventional treatment group (67. 50%), the difference was statis-tically significant (P<0. 05) . After treatment, LVEF and BNP of the thyroid group were better than those of the conventional treat-ment group, with the statistically significant difference (P<0. 05). Conclusion In the treatment of patients with senile severe heart failure, low dose of L-thyroxin combined with Irbesartan and Hydrochlorothiazide has better clinical effects and can improve heart function parameters of the patients greatly, so it is worthy of clinic promotion.
