Abstract:Objective To study and compare the clinical effects of tension-free repair and traditional surgery in the treatment of hernia. Methods From January 2014 to January 2015, 60 cases of patients with hernia in our hospital were selected as the research subjects. According to a randomized controlled principle, they were divided into observation group and control group, 30 cases in each group. The observation group was given tension-free repair surgery, while the patients in the control group were treated with traditional surgical repair. Clinical surgical effects of the two groups were compared. Results The observation group was significantly lower than the control group in terms of the mean operation time, the median length of hospital stay, the average postoperative activity time and postoperative complication rate, etc. The difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05). The average treatment cost of observation group and the control group was 2 000. 8 Yuan and 2 069. 4 Yuan respectively, with no statistically significant difference (P>0. 05). Conclusion Tension-free hernia repair is a more commonly used surgical method, with the advantages of short operative time, rapid postoperative recovery and low postoperative complication rate. It is clinically safe and effective, well worthy to be more widely applied and popularized.
