Abstract:Objective To compare the therapeutic effects of two kinds of treatment regimens for moderate pulmonary embolism. Methods 86 patients of moderate pulmonary embolism collected in our hospital from January 2012 to March 2014 were divided into two groups, anticoagulation group with 46 patients and thrombolysis group with 40 patients by means of retrospective study. The treat-ment effects of the two groups at the time and the long-term curative effect in terms of right cardiac function, PAP and life quality in the following year were compared. Results The effective rate was 85% in the thrombolysis group and 65. 22% in the anticoagulant group, with statistically significant difference (P<0. 05); no severe bleeding events occurred in the two groups. In the course of one year follow-up visit, the number of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension patients in thrombolysis group was significantly lower than that of anticoagulant therapy group, with statistically significant difference. Conclusion For patients without thrombolysis contraindication in moderate pulmonary embolism, thrombolytic therapy can quickly dissolve thrombus, improve lung tissue perfusion and reduce the occurrence of right heart failure and pulmonary hypertension. The prognosis is better than that of simple anticoagulant therapy.
