Analysis of Clinical Outcome of Placenta Previa During Re-pregnancy with Scarred Uterus

Abstract:Objective To analyze the clinical outcome of placenta previa during re-pregnancy with scarred uterus.Method 45 pregnant women with placenta previa during re-pregnancy with scarred uterus who were admitted into our hospital from May 2012 to May 2014 were selected as observation group, 45 pregnant women during re-pregnancy with scarred uterus admitted during the same period as control group.The amount of postpartum bleeding, delivery time, surgery costs, hysterectomy rate, incidence of postpartum hemorrhage, and neonatal asphyxia rate of the two groups were observed and compared.Results The amount of postpartum bleeding of the observation group within 2 hours and 24 hours were evidently higher than those of the control group (P<0.05), the delivery time and surgery cost of the observation group were evidently higher than those of the control group (P<0.05), hysterectomy rate, incidence of postpartum hemorrhage, and neonatal asphyxia rate of the observation group were evidently higher than those of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The placenta previa during re-pregnancy with scarred uterus may increase the complication possibility of moth-ers and babies in perinatal period, which should be given enough clinical attention.We should emphasize the importance of antenatal examination and continuously improve surgical techniques so as to safeguard both mothers and babies.
