Abstract：Objective To observe the parthanatos of hepatocyte in mice with alcoholic liver disease.Methods The liver sam-ples of the mice with chronic alcoholic liver disease was observed by Western blot, immunohistochemical staining and optical and elec-tron microscopy.Results Liver damage and necrosis lesions was predominately found in mice with alcoholic liver injury.Necrosis of mice's hepatocytes happened.The cells were found swelling and a large number of vacuoles were formed in the cell; the nucleus was a-trophic and deformed.Results of immunohistochemical staining and Western blot showed that the expression of PARP-1 in the process of liver cell injury was over-activated.Conclusion Parthanatos of hepatocyte is involved in hepatic damages induced by alcohol which may cause necrosisof hepatocytes.
