Clinical Effects of Gefarnate Tablets Combined with Triple Therapy for Duodenal Ulcer and Helicobacter Pylori Infection

Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effects of gefarnate tablets combined with triple therapy for duodenal ulcer and heli-cobacter pylori infection. Methods 92 duodenal ulcer patients were randomly divided into 2 groups, the control group (45 cases) and the therapeutic group (47 cases). Both groups of patients were given oral dosing, the control group swallowed 15mg lansoprazole bid, 0. 1 g amoxicillin bid and 0. 5 g clarithromycin bid. The therapeutic group was additionally given 50mg gefarnate tablets bid. The patients of the two groups were treated for two periods with 7days for each period, and then the clinical effects, clearing rate of Hp and adverse reactions were observed and compared between the two groups. Results The effective rate of the therapeutic group was 100%, and its clearing rate of Hp was 93. 62%, while the rates of those in the control group were 82. 23% and 77. 78% respective-ly. There were remarkable differences between the two groups (P<0. 05). The incidence of adverse reactions was low, with no signifi-cant difference (P>0. 05). Conclusion Gefarnate tablets combined with triple therapy has obvious effects on duodenal ulcer and He-licobacter pylori infection, and at the same time, it can improve the clearing rate of Hp, therefore worthy of clinical application.
