Abstract:Objective To study the relationship between different types of allergen and airway inflammation in asthma. Methods 130 patients with allergic asthma were randomly selected as the observation group, and the other 50 patients with no family history of allergic disease were selected as the control group. Total serum IgE and IL-10 levels were detected and the relations between different types of asthma allergen and airway inflammation and immune status were analyzed. Results The positive rate of inhalation allergen in patients with asthma and ingestion allergen in observation group were 49. 23% and 37. 69% respectively, which were significantly higher than those of control group (P<0. 05). The total serum IgE level in the observation group was also higher than that of the control group, while the serum levels of IL-10 were lower than the control group (P<0. 05), patients with inhalation allergen had lower lev-els than those of ingestion allergen (P<0. 05), with statistically significant difference. Conclusion Inhaled allergen are positive in most of asthma patients, which has apparent influence on the airway inflammation and immunity, and therefore should become the fo-cus of clinical prevention and treatment.
