Analysis of Clinical Treatment of Different Types of Ectopic Acute Appendicitis

Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical treatment of different types of ectopic acute appendicitis. Methods The clini-cal data of 24 cases of ectopic acute appendicitis patients treated in our hospital from April 2012 to April 2014 were analyzed retrospec-tively. Results The preoperative misdiagnosis rate of the 24 cases was 58. 3%. After observing signs and change of symptoms, com-bined with test results, appendectomy was performed on all the patients, with mean operation time (85. 3±12. 1) mins, and length of stay for (6. 8±1. 5) days. All the patients were diagnosed with ectopic acute appendicitis after both intraoperative and postoperative pathological examination, and four of them had postoperative complications, of which 2 had incision infection, one fat liquefaction, and one early inflammatory Intestinal obstruction. After symptomatic treatment, all the patients were cured. Conclusion Better un-derstanding of features of different types of ectopic acute appendicitis, timely diagnosis and surgical treatment helps to improve the clin-ical effect of ectopic acute appendicitis and quality of patients’ life.
