Abstract:Objective To study the clinical features, pathological characteristics, diagnosis, identification and prevention of an-giomyomatous hamartoma of lymph node. Methods 14 cases of angiomyomatous hamartoma of lymph node were analyzed in terms of their manifestation, immunophenotype and pathological characteristics and they were compared with other tumors based on the relevant literature. Results Microscopically, the lymph node involved was partially replaced by blood vessels, smooth muscle and fibrous tis-sue. The smooth muscles were well differentiated without mitosis and necrosis. The partial structures of lymph node were preserved , showing a few lymphoid sinuses and follicular cells, as well as focal lymphocyte aggregation in the subcapsular and marginal zones. Im-munohistochemical stains showed that smooth muscle cells were positive for SMA and desmin, while negative for HMB45, ER and PR in all the cases. Conclusions Angiomyomatous hamartoma of lymph node is rare, with enlarged lymph nodes as the main clinical characteristics. The diagnosis can be made according to the histological characteristics and immunohistochemical findings.
