Abstract:Objective To observe the curative effect and mechanism of atorvastatin combined with trimetazidine in the treatment of unstable angina pectoris and its impact on patients' life quality. Methods 60 cases of patients with UAP were randomly divided in-to two groups, 30 in each group. The control group was given atorvastatin, the conventional treatment, and the treatment group was giv-en trimetazidine combined with atorvastatin. Angina pectoris attacks and the angina score were observed. Serum tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) were detected by ELISA before and after treatment. At the same time, the improvement of life was also compared. Results Attacks of angina in the treatment group was obviously reduced ( P<0. 05). The serum TNF-α, IL-6 and MMP-9 levels were significantly decreased in the treatment group (P<0. 05), whereas the change in control group was not statistically significant ( P>0. 05 ) . The improvement of life in the treatment group was significantly better than that in control group (P>0. 05). No adverse clinical reactions were observed in both groups. Conclusion Atorvastatin combined with trimetazidine was effective for UAP.
