Abstract:Objective To study and analyze the nutritional status and the complication rate of patients through enteral and paren-teral nutritional support methods after pancreatoduodenectomy. Methods A retrospective analysis was made on the clinical data of 110 cases of pancreatoduodenectomy, and according to different nutrition methods, they were randomly divided into 60 cases in the control group ( parenteral nutrition) and 50 cases in the observation group ( both enteral and parenteral nutrition) . The two groups were com-pared in postoperative albumin, serum total protein, total lymphocyte count, triceps skinfold thickness changes, postoperative hospital stay, and postoperative complications incidence. Results Serum total protein, albumin, total lymphocyte count, and triceps skinfold thickness levels in the observation group were significantly superior to that in the control group ( t=4.55, 5.65, 3.56, 4.23, P<0.05, with statistical difference), postoperative hospital stay and postoperative complications incidence were of significant difference (χ2=4.55, 4.34, P<0.05). Conclusion The application of parenteral nutrition and enteral nutrition can significantly reduce post-operative complications, promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function, and shorten the days of hospitalization operation, which proves to be a good nutrition support method.
