Abstract:Objective To study the effects of metformin on plasma ET-1 and serum hs-CRP and TNF2 levels of patients with type-2 diabetes. Methods Radioimmunoassay and immune methods were used to detect plasma ET-1, serum HS-CRP and TNF2 levels in 33 patients with T2DM turbidimetric, compared with 35 healthy people. Results Before treatment, plasma ET-1, serum hs-CRP and TNF-2 levels of T2D2 patients were significantly higher than those healthy people (P<0.01). After metformin treatment for 3 months, there was no significant difference in plasma ET-1, serum HS-CRP and TNF2 levels of patients compared with the nor-mal (P>0.05). Plasma ET-1 levels were positively correlated with Serum hs-CRP and TNF2 levels (R=0.6184, 0.5948 P<0.01). Conclusion Metformin can improve vascular endothelial function.
