Clinical Observation of Drug Resistance of Gamma Globulin in The Treatment of Kawasaki Disease
WANG Heng
Abstract:Objective To explore adverse effect caused by drug resistance of gamma globulin in the treatment of Kawasaki dis-ease.Methods 60 cases of patients with Kawasaki disease, which were treated in Department of Pediatrics of our hospital from Feb-ruary 2010 to August 2013 , were randomly divided into two groups according to the time when gamma globulin was applied , with 30 ca-ses in the control group (applied immediately) and the other 30 cases in the observation group (>5d).The effect of drug resistance on treatment was evaluated by comparing erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C reactive protein (CPR), the duration of fever, changes of coronary artery inner diameter and resistance ratio of the two groups. Results There was statistically difference between the two groups in terms of erythrocyte sedimentation rate ( t=4.21 , P<0.05 ) , Creactive protein ( t=3.78 , P<0.05 ) , duration of fever ( t=5.12 , P<0.05 ) and coronary artery inner diameter ( t=3.87 , P<0.05 ) , the difference of drug resistance was also significant (χ2=8.29, P<0.05).Conclusion Gamma globulin is definitely effective in treating Kawasaki disease, but long-term medication may re-sult in drug resistance, aggravating coronary artery injury and other clinical symptoms.
