Expression and Significance of HIF-1α, VEGF, MMP-9, Ki-67 in Human Primary and Recurrent Glioma Tissues

Abstract：Objective To investigate the expression of HIF-1α, VEGF, MMP-9, Ki-67 in human primary and recurrent glio-ma tissues and their relationship with recurrent glioma.Methods 10 patients with normal brain tissue and 30 intrasubjects were exam-ined by immunohistochemistry to detect the expressions of HIF-1α, VEGF, MMP-9, Ki-67, and the correlation with the glioma re-currence.Results The expression of HIF-1α, VEGF, MMP-9 and Ki-67 increased with increased glioma grades (P<0.05), and in recurrent glioma the expression level has been enhanced compared with the primary glioma ( P<0.05 ) .Conclusion Expression e-valuation of HIF-1α, VEGF, MMP-9 and Ki-67 can be used as biological indicators of recurrent glioma.
