Abstract:The reaction and its spontaneity of simultaneous desulfurization and denitrification of coal-burning flue gas by Fenton reagent were analyzed from the perspective of reaction thermodynamics. In the self-designed bubble reactor, the optimum reaction conditions of simultaneous desulfurization and denitrification were ob-tained by using Fenton reagent and through orthogonal experiment.Based on the analysis of reaction products, the reaction mechanism and total reaction equations of simultaneous desulfurization and denitrification by Fen-ton reagent were deduced. The reaction thermodynamics parameters were calculated according to thermodynam-ic principle. The results showed that the standard reaction enthalpy of the process was less than zero (ΔrHmθ< 0) ,and the overall reaction of the system was exothermic. The standard Gibbs function of the reaction was far less than -40 kJ/mol.The reaction was a forward and spontaneous reaction and was relatively easy to achieve dynamic equilibrium of chemical reaction, and this indicated that the reaction was feasible from the thermody-namic aspect.
