Abstract:In order to explore the effect of ultrasonic vibration on the ordinary grinding process,on the basis of theoretical analysis about grinding surface topography characteristics (cutting groove width, grinding track interference) with single grit in ordinary and ultrasonic vibrationassisted high speed grinding, the experimental study of verifying corresponding theoretical analysis was conducted by taking the test method of single grit grinding, meanwhile the abrasive wear based on grinding force signal in ultrasonic vibrationassisted grinding was analyzed. The results show that, under the condition of ultrasonic vibration, high speed grinding with single grit has the characteristics of grinding track interference and chip groove widen compared with the ordinary grinding, and the theoretical analysis of grinding trajectory and groove width is verified by the test.Different abrasive wear forms correspond to different grinding force signals. This study provides the real-time monitoring in the process of grinding with certain decision basis, and provides the theoretical and technical supports for the experimental study of entire wheel.
