Conceptual design on roundabout of turn left lane interchange

Abstract：In order to mitigate impact of turn left flow on the tralfic capacity in urban intersection.Portion of three dimensional turn left is proposed based on the analysis of cross intersection and the existing roundabout traffic flow line.Two of four left-turn lane road with traffic jam were under three-dimensional processed.By streaming out left part of the traffic from the intersection,the traffic chaos of the roundabout is reduced.Simulation analysis is done by VISSIM software on non-signalized intersections and signalized intersections respectively confirmed that the left roundabout interchange design has obvious advantages than ordinary roundabout.
